Terra Naomi is a decidedly talented, LA based singer/song writer. Her latest project is an album of rich soaring vocals, and a collaborative product with multi-instrumentalist, Joe Adamik. However, our focus is not on the production of the album, or even of the printed artwork that will accompany it, but on the proposal document Terra has put together to attract funding towards capitalising on the potential of her new album.

The proposal must convince potential contributors of her business acumen and drive, to create a sustainable business model.

Make an impact on the right audience with your proposal

To impact on business professionals and influencers of the music industry, Terra’s proposal must have a succinct yet creative feel to it. A document that clearly outlines requirements, intentions and potential outcomes can be a very dry read indeed, unless you have it professionally laid out and printed.

The proposal will be held in the hand for some time, fingers will leaf through the pages more than once and the document will be passed from one person to the next. The quality of the paper must be exceptional.

Holywell Press chose a limp bound, 350gsm cover with a soft touch laminate, which was perfect bound. The document itself was 88 pages of 160gsm colour copy paper, which is perfectly designed for digital colour printers, such as our Xerox Versant 2100.

Short run printing for proposal documents

Terra’s high-quality proposal document was a short-run, meaning we printed only 10 in all. We created a proof in pdf form which was sent to Ms Naomi for approval. Once approved we created a hard copy which was shown to the publisher, Roger Ede, of Amarinda Ltd, Chalgrove. The entire process, from the concept meeting to the finished proposal document took ten days.

Terra now has ten highly professional and tactile proposal documents to send to targeted music industry investors. Terra was more than happy with the service we provided, from quote to turnaround and has engaged Toby, our Lead Creative to produce the same proposal as a page-turning digital publication, which can be distributed to potential investors electronically.
