Your printer is more than just ink on paper. Tip Top Marquees came to us as ‘Tubes Leisure Marquees’ which was a subsidiary of Tubes Scaffolding (Oxford) Ltd. Both companies were doing well, but it felt that the marquee side of the business needed to be separated from the scaffolding side and lacked direction for their future growth and development.

Tubes Scaffolding (Oxford) Ltd. was working well for their existing client base, but new literature including a smart new brochure showcasing what Tubes can offer and other leaflets advertising their alloy tower service was suggested and has been very successful for fresh marketing.

So, with Tubes Scaffolding (Oxford) Ltd. sorted, thoughts turned to Tip Top Marquees.

Tip Top Marquess would essentially cater for garden parties (large or small) with weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, events and promotions being the target market.

Enter Jack Wyatt, Account Executive with Holywell Press. Jack is the first port of call for all new print business. He has exceptional attention to customer service and provides an important point of contact for printing queries, quotes and updates.

Jack introduced Julie O’Donoghue and Chris White of Tubes, to Toby Matthews, Graphic Designer extraordinaire (Holywell Press), to compose five different logo designs. Tip Top liked a combination of two designs and so the logo was created.

A number of logo designs were produced, for Julie and Chris to choose from

From here, all the print collateral was put together, to include letterheads, flyers, client folders and information packs that reflected the elegance of the occasions that the marquees would be centre stage of. Holywell Press’ Designer and Illustrator, Grace Ironside created the folder design that cleverly looks as if you are walking into a marquee, with bunting pennants, and inside pockets for leaflets. And since Holywell Press are trusted suppliers to The Oxford University Colleges, Schools and many B2B clients, we understood the quality of product that was required to reflect the prestigious events.

Grace's design incorporated bunting and opening flaps

The original marketing materials were more suited to a construction client, but the new collateral now resonates with those wearing ballgowns and bow ties rather than toe protectors and hi vis! The client absolutely loved it and said,

‘This was absolutely what we wanted. We needed something to go to events with and also hand out to customers that reflect what we have to offer. Toby managed to pull all our thoughts together and create something very unique and we are all really pleased with the result. We hadn’t really done anything like this before, so it was great for us that everyone at Holywell Press was so easy to deal with and managed to consolidate all of our ideas into a great result. We look forward to dealing with Holywell in our future ventures!’

Brand synergy for two companies under the same umbrella

The colours used for Tip Top Marquees were the same as Tubes Scaffolding’s designs, so there was still an element of synergy between the two companies, a corporate identity if you will. So, the easy part was now to commence – updating the scaffolding fliers and leaflets. The hard part was over, the job was completed within the client’s timeframe, and exceeded their expectations.

Jack is always on hand, at Holywell Press to consult on leaflets, logos and client packs, or anything else you might think of for your printed marketing material. Email, or call 01865 242098 and ask for Jack, for an informal conversation about your ideas, and if it’s marquees you’re after, click here.
